Sean and I on Mother's Day

Cara, Brandy and Stacey
Last weekend was finally eventful. Friday my friend Cara from Chicago was in town and we went to a Rockies game. Who won, I have no idea, didn't watch one second of the game. Everyone had a great time, once again I am the only one who actually remembers everything later that evening.
On Saturday Sean played in a University of Iowa alumni golf tournament at an awesome course nestled against the foothills. Playing golf from 11 a.m. until 7:30 p.m. pretty much wiped Sean out for the evening, so it was a early night on Saturday.
Sunday of course was Mother's Day and Sean was such a sweet heart. We had Mother's Day brunch, picked out flowers for our landscaping projects, went for a walk in the park and ended the day having a bbq with some friends. Even though I am not officially a mom yet, Sean made the day very special, I'm one lucky lady.

Ok so I do realize that the prego picture that I posted last week makes me look enormous, thanks to my mother's response. So I posted a more prego appropriate photo, not wearing a tent. You will notice in the background is our new piece of artwork we acquired, a sketch of Dick Cheney's head in a oil factory.
I did have a little scare last week when I took off my shoes and socks, than realized my socks were permanently indented into my ankles, gross. Is perma sock a side affect of pregnancy?

You know your life is changing when you spend the whole weekend outside manicuring the yard. Well I didn't, but Sean did. He has all sorts of projects going on, he can pretty much manage anything, I am so proud...This weekend we are making it a goal to not work on the house or yard, what will we do?

Sean preparing for baby Whalen, poor Chloe

New Prego Pic
The reason I haven't posted in awhile is because there is nothing too exciting going on in the Whalen household. The weather was gorgeous over the weekend, so we went to the park with some friends and played bean bags or "corn hole" for all those Midwesterners. Sean and I both got fried, it has been a painful week. Maybe this weekend will be a little more eventful. In the meantime here are some photos to keep everyone entertained.
